MSP Process acquires Triggr to drive end-to-end service desk automation for MSPs

Managed service provider (MSP) workflow platform MSP Process has acquired UK-based automation startup Triggr and its related security-awareness asset, Phishr. The deal integrates Triggr’s autonomous service desk capabilities into MSP Process’s identity verification, communication, and client interaction ecosystem.

The acquisition reflects a growing movement among channel software vendors to consolidate disparate MSP tools and help IT providers offload routine level-one service requests entirely from human technicians

Closing the Execution Gap in Managed IT Workflows

Prior to the deal, New Orleans-based MSP Process provided tools to handle incoming service desk triggers, such as client portal tickets, Microsoft Teams requests, and AI-driven voice interactions, while offering output tools for technicians. However, the platform lacked an autonomous layer to execute the underlying technical tasks directly.

The integration of Triggr provides the missing middle execution engine, enabling ticket resolution without manual human intervention:

  • Autonomous Execution Engines: Integrates Triggr Core, a self-service Level 1 engine that allows MSPs to deploy automated workflows for high-frequency IT tasks like user onboarding, offboarding, software license provisioning, and password resets.

  • Managed Automation Design: Adds Triggr Studio, a service tier that assists MSP teams in designing and maintaining custom operational automations across client environments.

  • Natural-Language Control Layer: Incorporates Triggr OS, an in-development chat-driven control layer designed to manage complex MSP systems via natural-language interactions.

  • Human-in-the-Loop Governance: Allows MSPs to insert optional approval gates into automated sequences, letting technicians verify actions before scripts make changes to active client systems.

Buying Back Technician Time to Boost Operating Margins

Repetitive service desk operations remain one of the largest drains on MSP profitability and technician capacity. For instance, executing a standard employee onboarding sequence across multiple SaaS portals and Active Directory environments routinely consumes 30 minutes per ticket.

By automating these multi-step provisioning tasks end-to-end, the combined platform allows MSPs to scale their managed user bases without linearly increasing technical headcount, directly driving EBITDA expansion.

Consolidating Vendor Stacks Across the MSP Channel

The transaction accelerates a wider trend across the channel ecosystem, where MSPs are actively reducing the number of point solutions required to manage security and service desk operations.

MSP Process confirmed it will continue supporting existing Triggr and Phishr customers while progressively blending the software into its unified suite. The resulting solution offers a single vendor stack covering end-user identity verification, ticket analysis, AI voice and chat interactions, and autonomous workflow execution.
