Pax8, the global cloud commerce marketplace, has unveiled its Managed Intelligence Toolkit - a unified AI platform that will enable Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to deploy, scale, and manage AI agents for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Announced at the company’s annual Beyond conference, the Toolkit marks the beginning of the “Managed Intelligence Era” and is set to be available in preview starting Q2 2026.

The solution tightly integrates Microsoft’s latest AI capabilities, including Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and Entra Agent ID, with Pax8’s own orchestration infrastructure and global Marketplace. The result is a robust, real-time ecosystem in which intelligent agents can autonomously search, procure, and manage digital services across SMB environments.

“MSPs are no longer just managing infrastructure, they’re managing intelligence,” said Scott Chasin, CEO at Pax8. “Our platform development utilizing Microsoft’s AI stack unlocks a future where SMBs can scale through digital labor, and MSPs become the architects of that transformation.”

Turning MSPs into MIPs (Managed Intelligence Providers)

By equipping MSPs with tools to deliver autonomous, outcome-driven AI agents, Pax8 is championing a shift toward Managed Intelligence Providers (MIPs). That is, service partners that do more than maintain IT systems. They actively transform businesses through intelligent automation.

Among the key features:

  • Verticalized Agent Templates via Microsoft Copilot Studio and Pax8 Frameworks, enabling easy deployment of tailored solutions in sectors like healthcare, finance, and legal.

  • Scoped Agent Identity through Microsoft Entra Agent ID, offering MSPs fine-grained control and policy management across customer environments.

  • Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations that allow AI agents to interface directly with Pax8’s Marketplace APIs for seamless procurement and automation.

New Offerings to Drive AI Adoption

To accelerate this transformation, Pax8 is also launching several key initiatives:

  • 30+ Guided Growth Journeys: Structured enablement paths for SMB use cases such as finance, sales, operations, and compliance.

  • The Pax8 Agent Marketplace (launching 2026): A full-stack platform for horizontal and industry-specific AI agents built on Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry.

  • Transformation Academy: A dedicated learning hub with technical and business training to help MSPs build, price, and manage agentic services.

“Small and medium-sized businesses are the backbone of the global economy,” said Allison West Hughes, CVP Global SMB at Microsoft. “We’re excited to see new platforms like Pax8’s initiative, which aim to empower SMBs to achieve more with AI.”

Availability

Pax8 will begin rolling out integrations with Microsoft Copilot Studio, MCP, and Entra Agent ID in the summer of 2025, with full commercial availability expected by fall 2025. The Managed Intelligence Toolkit will launch in phased previews starting Q2 2026.
